When you think of Las Vegas your first reaction might not be "Vegas is THE place to take your baby!!!" But we had no choice! :) It really wasn't even on our itinerary when we planned the trip but as we were working out details for our stay with my Aunt she generously offered the two nights in Vegas they won at Alexander's school auction. The place really has always put a bad taste in my mouth even though I've never been, I've heard. But who passes up a spontaneous trip? Not us! Plus, it was the perfect way to end our stay since these were the only days Dayton didn't work. Plus PLUS we will probably never be able to afford a hotel room like this again. So the road trip began. I'm the awful roadtrip passenger that rips open a bag of ranch corn nuts the second we get into the car and Dayton is the one who buys sunflower seeds but never eats them?? Four hours later we were in Sin City!
To everyone who has heard me bag on Vegas. I don't take it allllll back, but it wasn't THAT bad. We did as many of the "family" things as we could squeeze into 2 days and I wasn't scarred for life by anything I saw. Hmm, yes I was actually now that I think about it. Where are the mothers in that city!??! haha
We watched the water show at the Bellagio & Mirage, went to the Pawn shop, Serendipity (what is all the fuss about that place?!), saw fish at the water tank, ate at Gordon Ramsay's BurGR (my mouth is watering--so good), and swam!
I don't know who was more excited Dayton didn't work for two days. Me or him! I don't know if that last sentence was grammatically correct......It truly must be painful for people to read this blog if they care about commas and basic grammar. It's never been my strength sorryyyy haha
Wakin' up in Vegas
We might have been the most prude people in Vegas. A baby in tow, no hangovers, and in bed by 10pm. I'll take that any day.
