hmm..what's been going on lately. I've gone back to work part-time! My job has great benefits and with all Winnie's surgeries there's just no way around not having coverage. The necessity of keeping our insurance makes it easier to get through work and I'm so happy it's only part-time!!
My house is a disaster, and I mean it. Not like when you walk into someone's house and its a little cluttered and they say "Oh my goddness my house is a mess" I mean it REALLY is a dump. I got so desperate I recruited my Mom to come help me clean today twisting her arm with lunch at Kneader's, watching Hitch--and the bribe of all bribes--infinite cuddles with Winsley! I think it goes without saying that I already have yellow gloves waiting for her. How could she resist that combination?!
I think about Winsley's nursery sometimes and walk in there on occasion to remeber what it looks like. Funny, how we got it all decorated and we never peek in there except to restock her closet with diapers or grab an outfit. Changing table? Who needs it! Our bed and couch (with a towel or cloth underneath that cute bum of course ;)) have become our permanent changing tables because who really has time to get up and walk ten feet to the nearest changing table? When I finally start feeling comfortable with her sleeping in her crib full time we'll make more use of her room. Basically that means that her legs will have to be long enough to touch the ground from her swing before that happens! For now though, it's a few diapers and wipes in every room and waving Hi to her nursery on the way to bath time.
The other night, Dayton and I were talking about what we think about finally having a baby. It's hard work, sleepless nights, and stressful at times but we knew it was going to be like that so we mentally prepared. As we look back on the past two months we realized it's not as hard as we thought it would be or as expensive...yet! I'm nursing so the expense of formula isn't there but we thought there would be so many more things to buy on a regular basis. I keep thinking I could have ten kids if it's all this fun watching them grow! Newborn stage was so fun and exciting but now at two months watching her learn how to smile and coo takes it to a whole other level. I love you, Hattie girl!
So we haven't ever met but Im good friends with Whitni..anyways so Ill still comment:) If you ever do put her on formula the cheapest out there that I have found is the Costco brand. Its gentle on tummies (my baby threw up all other brands of formula&fussed) It costs us roughly $16 a week for a giant tub Verses a smaller tub for $30. Just throwin it out there! Winsley is a doll...and Ill meet you someday, maybe at a wedding soon...:)
