We knew when we were planning this cruise to the Carribean we wanted to port from Puerto Rico or at least visit. I've been there when I was little for my Abuela's funeral and on a sister's trip back in 2005 but I wanted Dayton to see it! I never knew my Abuela or Abuelo very well because they passed away when I was really young but I have definitely heard stories. My Abuela loved fashion, clothes, and dancing. My sister Liana takes after her for sure! I wish I knew them and wish we had time to visit the little bit of family that is left there. But for the quick stop we'll be exploring Old San Juan, playing in the ocean, shopping, eating as much Puerto Rican food as possible, and coming back with a crisp tan. Humidity and my curly fro don't go well together so my hair situation will be interesting. haha I remember visiting in 2005 and just walking outside and everything sticking to me. I would see people wearing pants and could not wrap my head around wearing such heavy clothes in the heat. Maybe March will be cooler than July when we went last, but we'll see!
Here are some pictures of my brothers, sisters, cousins, and of course my Grandparents. (When I was little I thought their actual names were Abuela and Abuelo. I thought it was so weird that a couple could have names so close together. haha). I'm pretty aware Liana and I look like the whitest things compared to this side of our family haha. They're skin is gorgeous, I'm soo jealous! We definitely take after my mom's features in that department, but at least we tan easy?
