Old San Juan

Our favorite stop!  It seemed like we got the most time in Old San Juan.  We arrived early in the morning and set out to find a beach.  We had a similar experience like in the Bahamas where we just ended up walking to a beach we thought was alot closer than it was but once again, it was an adventure.  We saw things we would have missed had we taken a bus.  The weather was perfect!  Not humid, almost cool, and a breeze.  The water was chilly so we decided to tan.  The beach was so quiet compared to Magens Bay and we napped for probably an hour.

After tanning we wanted to get back into town so we grabbed a bus ride to Old San Juan.  My favorite part about traveling is metros, subways, and the local bus system.  The school kids on the bus kept staring at my stomach haha.  When we got into town we shopped a bit, got pina coladas, and grabbed some food.  We went to Fefo's.  Those dishes you see are some of the best food I've had...ever.  My Mom said my Abuela used to deep fry everything.  Multiple times.  So it's fitting I chose deep fried chicken.  I actually had no idea what I was ordering but I'm glad I chose what I did.  I also got a traditional Puerto Rican side of Mofongo per my Aunt Emilias recommendation.  Dayton's food was good he said I had alot of his rice and beans too and they were heaven.  I can't even describe it, it was amazing.  When the waiter came to clean up our plates he said "Well that baby is happy!" haha

It was a perfect day in Puerto Rico and Dayton loved it just as much as I would have hoped!

  1. I've been to San Juan a few times (& St. Thomas too! You picked great places...or the cruise did? haha) and LOVED IT! We were there during some sort of Catholic festival so Old San Juan was filled to the brim with festivities. Looks like you had more room to explore :)

It's just not fair how cute you look pregnant :)
