phew! Dayton and I are sitting down now watching Cool Runnings. After dinner, Dayton turned to me and asked me sweetly if I could make him apple nachos. Apple slices, peanut butter, granola, and honey drizzle. It's our healthy dessert. But when you look at how much fat & calories are in a tablespoon of peanut butter it's actually quite the opposite. I'm getting distracted.
Winnie has been talking so much recently. She picks up on everything! She learned to sign apple in 1 day too?! Smartie! Currently, she's saying, "hot, coldie, mama, dada, apple, choo choo, and puppy!" "Choo Choo" is her latest obsession. So I found a park with a train and ran with it. It's this small little village of ice cream stores and antique shops and in the wayyyy wayyy back of the village there's this run down play gym and train. I'll take it!
When we paid for our ticket for the train I wanted to remember every second. I knew I was that Mom who couldn't put her phone down and was hoping the Mom in the car infront of us wasn't judging me but I tried not to care too much. I snapped photos and took aton of video on that quick five minute ride. I'm so happy I did. I captured classic Winnie. She might love saying 'choo choo' but she was unsure about the train and didn't crack a smile the entire time. I don't know why I expected anything less. She was more fascinated with the toy train and village right next to the station. haha But something about today was so special. No matter how many ways I try and deny it, my baby ain't a baby! It's so much fun to have her as my little sidekick.
Can you catch a glimpse of her hot pink toes? Yep! We painted them on Sunday and she screams everytime I point them out. Kids!
That picture with her hand on my leg is something I'll treasure forever. The rickety train spooked her a bit but she camly looked around and kept her hand glued to my leg. She didn't want to be craddled in my arms or even hold my hand but just be close enough to feel safe. Am I reading into this too much? That's beside the point! Also, notice that cute left hand? No sixth finger?! Still looks weird to me sometimes but it's a beautiful sight!
Does she know how much we love her!? I wanna squeeze her brains out! It takes everything in me to not attack her with kisses in public! I love learning to be a kid again just by being her Mom. It's funny because I'm teaching her how to grow up and that we follow rules while I'm turning into a child. Stopping to look at ducks, feed chickens, and admire Koi fish. Not a better job in the world! I'm sure of it.
Oh my gosh your the cutest mom and Winnie is of course so adorable!!! Its the best having a cute little sweet best friend every where you go! Little girls are the best!:)
