Rondalee came to visit this weekend! She's been our first of hopefully many visitors! She got in Thursday night and I made soup and she got her Winnie fix. The next morning we headed out to the petting zoo we have here. It's amazing. It's pretty big, with great views, and has baby swings just for Wins. She loved it and I finally got to show her around other than sending pictures and video clips. The zoo is becoming a weekly outing for Winsley and I. We went to Potbelly's in Bellevue for lunch. I just can't even say how much I love this area. Rondalee loved it too but she says she's bummed I love it so much. haha She was secretly hoping I'd hate it so we would want to move back in a year.
Wanting to go home with Gramma!
Not sure about the geese that were honking
After lunch and the park we headed out over Mercer Island to Seattle. She wanted to see the Space Needle and Pike Place. The drive over there is gorgeous too. You drive over Lake Washington and it's just endless trees and water. I kept saying "I live here!? I can't believe it!" We found a parking spot in between Pike Place and the Needle and started walking to the market. I loved having her here. I finally had someone, other than Dayton, to show Seattle too. She was just as obsessed as me. We would stop before crossing the street and just hug and yell to eachother "I'M SO HAPPY!!!!" It was really the best day. The market was closing up but we caught some of the shops, ate at Beechers, and looks at the vendors. Beechers is known for their Macoroni and Cheese and Wins ate almost all of my bowl. It was starting to rain so we grabbed a hot chocolate at Chocolate Box just up the street. After we saw the Space Needle we realized we couldn't remember where we parked. Luckily we found with ten minutes to spare before our parking time ran out. Didn't matter because we paid for street parking and not the private parking lot fee so I still got a ticket. Awesome. :)
