Tannis and the Young Women's president in our ward threw me a cute ward baby shower. I constantly rave to my mom about how amazing our ward is. We have a mix of older families, who have lived in their homes for 20 or so years, but also newly married couples who we get to hang out with. Everyone is welcoming and so genuinely nice. We were practically begged to move into the house we're in now about a year ago and couldn't understand why these people we hardly knew wanted to help us get out of our crappy apartment so bad. There was no catch, they just wanted to help!
The shower was so fun and once again every plate of cookies someone made, preparation, and gift were so thoughtful. I am so excited to have our baby grow up in this ward with these amazing people. I learn so much from them all and I'll need help learning the ropes while my parents aren't close by and busy with their own lives as the baby gets older.
As far as baby goes things are going well! Definitely anxious and excited! I'm trying to not just mindlessly complain anytime I'm tempted too. I look back at the back pain post I wrote a while ago and cringe I'm so embarassed. I've been tempted to just delete it all together because it is so ridiculous and selfish. But I had a selfish/bratty moment and that's reality. So it stays.
I'm such a dreamer when it comes to her arrival and Dayton always says to not get my hopes up but I know she'll come early and I always think about what day she'll come, what time, and what we will be doing. I imagine the text or call I send Dayton "LETS go to the hospital!" I.am.so.excited. Her nursery is SO close to being done. Curtains are being sewn, we're hanging everything today, and just a few more details then I'll reveal everything. I love finding any excuse to go in there and can't wait to bring her home. We had another appointment on Monday and the baby is around 6.6 lbs. She could easily be 7 if I go full term but like I said she is coming early so we wont even worry about that :)
