wednesday nights

Last Wednesday we had a roller rink activity for mutual at church.  Our class of girls was asked to dress up in the 80's so I come home and say to Dayton "I'm gonna be a cool leader and dress up"  So I made Dayton come in and lay on our bed and help me get dressed. After all, he was born in the 80's! ;) So he's playing FLOW on his phone and would glance up when I tried something different on.  I ended up with 80's rocker which looks nothing like it but its all I had!  So then I show up to the activity and I'm one of the two people dressed up.  Which I half knew would happen.  Embarassing.

PS. I made the most amazing Nutella cookies for Dayton's meeting Sunday night that I've had literally 11 of in the past hour.

This last week for Mutual we had a couples night for all the girls so they all brought a date and I got to bring Dayton.  The young women's president's son used to one of our Sunbeams and he absolutely loves Dayton.   Anytime I see him though I try and say hi and he hides behind something.  I always ask, "Do you wish I was Brother Jones?" and he just nods shyly.  So you can imagine his excitement when Dayton showed up last night.  He talked Dayton's ear off and kept wanting to show Dayton things around the house.  He was getting ice cream and goes "Bruuver Jowns will you help me get ice cweam?"  And then we played a game with all the kids and he directed Dayton to sit on the chair and then crawled on Dayton's lap to watch the game. Men and kids. Just the cutest thing and the world!
