Athens and Santorini, Greece

Our last and Final stop was Greece! We were a little nervous about Greece since they are in an economic crisis but we prepared for the worst. We met this adorable Italian couple who was expecting a child! They were so fun and kept raving about America! They drove the whole Route 66 when they visited! The husband had great taste in music and his wife tried to communicate with me about her little pregnant belly. When I asked him what they were having he said "It doesnt matter, we're having a baby thats the most important thing" in his thick Italian accent. haha
We hopped off the bus at the port of Pireaus and started walking. It was clear this city was struggling. When we would walk to magazine stands to ask directions to our hotel I went up to them alone and kept my eyes on the cashier there were nasty magazing and gross things everwhere. There was grafitti all over the buildings and most of them were vacant. We lucked out on our hotel. It was on a relatively sketchy street but the hotel manager made us feel safe and gave us tips for pick pocketers. It was late afternoon and we wanted to get to Acropolis immediately. We hoped on the metro (scary as well)! We arrived and had only snacked on some pastries so we were starving! Acropolis is incredible. Much more neat and well kept (for the tourists) and had amazing food. After we ate we went to see the Parthenon we walked up these steps and found out they closed early on Saturdays and so was the temple of Zeus. It was really sad! We were supposed to stay another day but decided heading to Santorini a day early wouldnt be too bad!
The Parthenon from afar!
Arriving in Santorini a day early and SO happy we did :) Got a steal and upgrade at our hotel by just showing up early!
I cant even tell you how excited we were for Santorini and it lived up to our expectations.
Santorini at Sunset was spent with sweets and taking in the incredible Caldera view. We had somewhat roughed it in many hotels so far and our main goal was cheap cheap cheap but this city was important to us and our REAL relaxing honeymoon so we spent a few more Euros to get a Caldera view!
 walking down to breakfast

 Riding ATV's only 15 EURO for 24hrs!

The town of OIA is the picturesque city you see in postcards of Santorini. Dayton and I kept saying the whole time that we couldnt believe this place. Everything about it was like another world. I have always been obsessed with white and my obsession grew so much. So clean and fresh.

Is this not the sisterhood of the traveling pants?!
 My favorite picture.

Ah dying over this pool!

Dayton being a man and taking car of our ATV
 The Kalamari black sand beaches.
Our waiters were so funny! You'd walk by a million resturants and the owners would be waiting outside trying to get you to have dinner and just would say yes please yes please yes please?? haha These guys told us about all the celebrities that come to Santorini.

 Hot chocolate and sweets (Baklava)

Honestly there was nothing better than this
Funny story about this coin. We were headed down to breakfast one morning and I was just tiding up for our maids and I grabbed some change off our balcony table and put it away when we came back Dayton rushed to the balcony and gives my this blank but proud face and goes "honey, they took it" I'm completely confused and ask him what he was talking about and he's like "I put the money on the table to see if they would take it and its gone!!" ...."Uh no Detective I have it." He was so bummed but he put it back for the next day. haha t
hahah I'm five

Paying for using the bathroom!
My favorite place in the entire world

To save money and time when heading back to Paris we slept in the Athens airport. I 'm not too sure if it was worth it! We slept at Mcdonalds and there were probably 50 other young teenagers trying to sleep too.

Ah all Europe pictures are done and now I'm constantly saving and planning our next trip. We're hoping to eventually travel Eastern Europe because we heard from people we met that its alot cheaper! Next on our list though is probably something tropical!
